Surveillance Study

Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser has backed a surveillance survey launched at Stirling University. The Centre for Research into Information, Surveillance and Privacy (Crisp) will study surveillance technologies, how they are used and the privacy implications. This ground-breaking research will look to provide greater understanding of user submitted information and its use by private organisations and the government.

Aberdour claims double gold

Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser has lodged a Parliamentary Motion congratulating Aberdour’s achievement in claiming double gold at the Beautiful Fife and Beautiful Scotland awards. Aberdour bagged ‘Beautiful Fife’s’ gold medal in the Coastal Village category as well as a gold award and Best in Coastal category at the Beautiful Scotland awards.

Youngsters Learning the basics of Physical Activity

Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser has welcomed a Stirling University initiative aimed at getting children as young as three to learn the basics of physical activity. The proportion of Scots classed as obese has risen from 52% in 1995 to 63% in 2010, poor diet and the popularity of computer games amongst youngsters has been blamed for this trend.
