Blairgowrie and Glens Councillor, Caroline Shiers, has today urged local residents to ensure their views are known on the Proposed Local Development Plan which is out for consultation.

“The proposals for the provision of sites for up to 595 new homes during the lifetime of the Plan up to 2024 and beyond along with land for employment opportunities; much needed road infrastructure improvements and other important issues such as recreation facilities and open spaces are all contained within the Proposed Plan. The focus of debate will be on how Blairgowrie and Rattray, who will bear the bulk of the proposed development, ought to develop and what we want to see as the future of the community over the next decade. This really is an important debate and one I hope residents will get involved in.”
