Age Scotland will celebrate its 75th Birthday this year and is Scotland’s leading advocacy charity for the elderly.
Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“This award win is due recognition for a group that does so much to improve the lives of the elderly in the Scone area.
“Loneliness is a huge public health problem and the existence of groups like this can help bring people together later in life.
“I hope that other parliamentarians recognise the importance of this award win and lend their support to my motion.
“In the coming weeks I am due to meet with members of the group and I look forward to congratulating them in person.”
