Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP, Murdo Fraser, has welcomed record ticket sales for the Enchanted Forest event in Highland Perthshire.
The sound and light show at Faskally Wood, near Pitlochry, has seen 50,000 tickets sold in less than two weeks since opening.
The 14th instalment of the annual event features aerial acrobatics and choreographed sound and light displays.
The Enchanted Forest shows, which are organised by a community trust will run until the 1st of November.
Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“The enchanted forest is a tremendous draw for the area, particularly as it is held in the period between summer and Christmas where visitor numbers are traditionally lower than normal.
“To have sold nearly 50,000 tickets thus far underlines what an important event this is for the Highland Perthshire and Pitlochry economies and I am sure local businesses will welcome these strong sales numbers.
“In 14 years the Enchanted Forest has gone from strength to strength and I would encourage anyone who hasn’t bought a ticket to snap one up before they are all gone.”
