Liz Smith MSP has hit out at SNP Ministers for playing politics with Scotland' energy policy. The Mid Scotland & Fife MSP, who will attend the Scotland Against Spin march in Perth tomorrow, said: Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife said: “The SNP consistently adopts the mantra that decisions which affect communities are best taken by the people of Scotland themselves. When it comes to energy policy however, nothing could be further from the truth. SNP Ministers do not practise what they preach. Not only do they pay no heed to the opinions of local people but they also think they are above the law. They are determined to press ahead with their obsession for wind energy no matter who stands in their way. "The fact that SNP Ministers have blatantly disregarded a very clear legal ruling by Lady Clark that SNP Ministers should not grant planning permission for large wind farms that do not have a licence to generate electricity from the industry regulator is a clear sign that the SNP have short circuited Scotland’s energy policy.
“Tomorrow's march is about holding then to account and I will be there to support Scotland Against Spin."
