Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP and Convenor of the Parliament’s Tourism committee, Murdo Fraser, has called on history and culture enthusiasts to buy tickets for next week’s Bannockburn Live event.
Bannockburn Live will be held over two days on the 28th and 29th of June, with ticket prices starting at £14 rising to just over £80.
Music, battle re-enactments, food stalls, a story centre and a clan village will be amongst the events on offer.
Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“In my role as Convenor of the Scottish Parliament’s Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee I have spent a long time scrutinising the preparations for this event.
“The programme of events looks fantastic with some interesting interactive activities to keep visitors of all ages entertained.
“Bannockburn 2014 will be a great opportunity for both Scots and tourists to explore and commemorate our history and is also a superb window for Stirling to market itself to the world.
“With less than a week to snap up tickets for the event, I would hope that people from across Scotland and particularly Stirling take the opportunity to take in what promises to be a spectacular event.”
