Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser is encouraging residents in Perth to attend a series of meetings that will discuss the future plans for the surplus land on the site of Murray Royal Hospital.
The first of these meetings will be held Tuesday December 10 from 7pm to 9pm in the Murray Royal Hospital hub.
Rydens have been asked by NHS Tayside to take forward planning proposals and construct residential housing on the site.
Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“Some residents have raised concerns that the land might be sold without giving sufficient thought to what else could occupy the site.
“Serious concerns have been raised regarding available school capacity and additional traffic numbers on local roads should new homes be built. Perth and Kinross council must consider these very issues and consult with local people when adjudicating on this application.
“I would like to urge residents to join me in attending the meeting on Tuesday and voice their concerns and opinions on the development
