Ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash versus Rosenborg, Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser has wished St Johnstone good luck in their pursuit of progression to the third round of Europa League qualification.
St Johnstone secured their first ever away win in Europe when they triumphed by one goal to nil in Norway last week.
Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“Last week St Johnstone recorded one of the best wins in their history by beating Champions League regulars Rosenborg by a single goal in Norway, hopefully their players can finish the job this week.
“St Johnstone have already done Perth proud with last week’s result but progression through to the next round would be very special, especially considering the substantial resources Rosenborg enjoy.
“Let’s hope a loud McDiarmid Park crowd can roar the St Johnstone players to victory.”
