Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser has welcomed the hosting of a Scottish Parliament Day on the 21st of June in Stirling.
This event follows a series of two other Parliament Days that were previously held in Hawick and Stornoway.
During the day’s activities, the Presiding Officer and the Health and Sport Committee will undertake a series of meetings with local organisations and groups. The Committee will also hold a formal Committee meeting in Stirling Council’s chambers where they will take evidence on the impact of health inequalities in Stirling.
Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“This is a great opportunity for the people of Stirling to engage with the Scottish Parliament. Previous open days have been a resounding success and I believe this will also be the case in Stirling.
“For those who feel that Holyrood is too distant from the public in Scotland, these events enable the parliament to connect with the people it represents.
"I hope the people of Stirling enjoy this opportunity to find out more about what we do at Holyrood and how they can get involved.”
