Murdo Fraser MSP has lodged and circulated a Motion at the Scottish Parliament congratulating Perthshire-based Sholach Christmas Trees for supplying the Foreign Office in London with a 16-foot Christmas tree.
The firm, which is based on the banks of Marlee Loch, near Blairgowrie, and run by the McIntyre family, had been invited to do so after winning the ‘best short film’ category in an annual competition run by the British Christmas Tree Growers Association.
The Nordmann fir tree has been described by Foreign Office staff as a 'great morale booster.'
