Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife has welcomed the news that First Scotrail has agreed to provide special services to Glasgow.
The Perthshire based MSP had led calls following the news that no direct trains would run between Dundee, Perth and Glasgow on 17th May.
Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife said:
“I very much welcome the fact that First Scotrail has agreed to provide additional special services to Glasgow.
“I hope that May 17th will be very enjoyable day for both sets of fans and any positive moves to limit any travel disruption is to be welcomed.
“It is absolutely vital that the public are kept informed of all travel options and that these are publicised well in advance.”
