Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife has tabled a Motion in the Scottish Parliament congratulating Perth Royal Infirmary on its centenary. The Perthshire based MSP hopes to secure a Members Debate on the anniversary in Holyrood later this year. Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife said: “It is a great achievement that Perth Royal Infirmary will mark its centenary anniversary in July. “Perth Royal Infirmary has been a great assets for the local community over the past hundred years and local people are clear that they want to see Perth Royal Infirmary as their primary hospital in the future. “The centenary also presents an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and professionalism of all the staff both current and former who have work at Perth Royal Infirmary to provide first class health services for their patients, including many who come from many rural communities. “I hope to be able to secure a Members Debate in the Scottish Parliament so that MSPs from across all the parties can mark the anniversary in Holyrood and I fully support calls for the centenary to be marked in some way by NHS Tayside.”
