The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing, Alex Neil will visit Murray Royal Hospital this morning. The Mid Scotland & Fife MSP has asked for an urgent meeting with the Cabinet Secretary. Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife said: “I remain very concerned at the on-going security issues at Murray Royal Hospital and the latest break out by two patients from a medium secure unit at the hospital has only added to the issues surrounding Murray Royal. “The fact that it has taken ten days of this latest escape to emerge is a development which is clearly a matter of concern to patients, their families, staff and members of the local community. “The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing, Alex Neil MSP has visited Murray Royal Hospital this morning and I will be seeking an urgent meeting with him to discuss my concerns and seek answers to what the Scottish Government is doing to address the on-going issues at Murray Royal.”
