The petition calling for the re-opening of a direct rail link between Perth and Edinburgh is attracting huge local support. Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife MSP said she has been stunned by the level of local support from local residents and businesses. Liz Smith MSP has called on the SNP Scottish Government to look again at a new feasibility study into re-opening a direct line between Perth and Edinburgh. Scottish Conservatives will seek a debate in the Scottish Parliament on re-opening a direct rail link.
