Liz Smith Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife has welcomed the news that the Forth Road Bridge to set to reopen on Wednesday.

“I know that the closure of the Forth Road Bridge has caused significant disruption for residents across Mid Scotland & Fife and, along with other MSP colleagues, I have been working to hold the SNP Scottish Government to account to get the bridge re-opened as soon as possible.
“A number of questions remain unanswered surrounding the inspection regime and it is vital that SNP Ministers provide MSPs with a answers. Concern has also been expressed that the bridge may need to close again in the future and I will be seeking clarity from the Transport Minister on what further work and closures may be needed to ensure this limits any disruption for commuters and businesses.”
