Scottish Water has confirmed via the First Minister’s office their aim for Tummel Bridge to have clean, mains supplied, drinking water before Christmas.
Yesterday, Murdo Fraser MSP raised the issue of contaminated drinking water in Tummel Bridge with the First Minister who subsequently contacted Scottish Water seeking an urgent update.
Murdo Fraser has welcomed the commitment from Scottish Water to have Tummel Bridge connected to the Mains Supply before the Holidays.
Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said;
“Constituents in Tummel Bridge will welcome this news but won’t be popping the champagne corks until they actually have clean running water in their homes.
“This situation has already gone on far too long but it is heartening to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel for Tummel Bridge residents.
“Over the coming months, I will be keeping a close eye on Scottish Water’s progress and will be happy to raise this issue again in Parliament if clean water isn’t supplied before Christmas.”
