Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser has applauded the work of the “Community Life” initiative at Perth Asda during a debate in the Scottish Parliament.
“Community Life” in Perth is run by Community Champion Fi Penham, who has been influential in making the scheme a success at the Dunkeld road store.

During the debate Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“I want to say a little bit about the similar work being done by Asda in Perth, where the community champion, Fi Penman, has volunteered a fantastic 328 hours of service to the community and every week donates her time to the active monkeys youth group.
“Last year the store held a community in the car park fun day, at which local charities, groups and organisations came together to meet customers.”
Speaking during the Asda Parliamentary reception Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“Community Life is doing great things in Perth and they have the perfect community champion in Fi Penman who is driving the programme forward.
“It is important that large companies remain invested in the communities in which they are based and Asda are doing just that.
“I know Fi is working hard to ensure that Community Life has a large programme of events open this summer and I am confident Community Life will continue to make a difference in Perth.”
