Kathleen Baird was re-elected to represent the Almond and Earn ward in 2017.

Kathleen writes: "It has been an enormous privilege to serve the community of Almond and Earn and I was delighted to have been re-elected to the Council .

"Having lived and raised my family locally I know this area well and understand the problems facing rural communities.

"It is time for more investment for our rural communities; rural issues cannot be ignored.

"My pledge to you is that I will listen to your concerns and will always put your issues and concerns before party politics."

Kathleen serves as Convenor on the Licensing Board, is Vice Convenor of the Environment and Infrastructure Committee and is also a member of the Lifelong Learning Committee. She has served as Depute Provost since Sept 2019.

Methven School

Liz Smith MSP and local councillors welcome PKC investment in Methven Primary School

Friday, 19 November, 2021

Perth and Kinross Council have started work on improvements to Methven Primary School which include measures to build a new gym and dining hall being built to the highest possible environmentally friendly  Passivhaus standards.
