Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“It was a fantastic opportunity to meet members of the SRC team in parliament and talk about their work in helping communities across Scotland overcome alcohol and substance abuse.
“Drink and drug addiction is the scourge of communities across Scotland, and too many lives across Perth and Kinross, Fife, Stirling and Clackmannanshire are ruined as a result of substance abuse.
“The number of middle aged people dying as a result of drugs is increasing which makes the work of the SRC even more important.
“The Scottish Recovery Consortium are working hard to help people out addiction and into productive and healthy lives. Successful recovery has huge benefits for society as a whole and I would like to wish them well with their work in Mid-Scotland and Fife.”
