In his latest Motion lodged at the Scottish Parliament Murdo has drawn attention to the good work of Asda stores in the Mid Scotland and Fife area and their part in donating the equivalent of more than 800,000 meals to charities and community groups.
Murdo said: “Thanks to Asda in Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, and both Asda Dunfermline and Asda St Leonards in Dunfermline, alongside Asda in Perth and Alloa, almost 16,000 meals have been delivered to so many individuals and families who have needed help across a very difficult time. It is only right that those in need should have access to fresh, in date and good quality food and I wanted to congratulate Asda on the FareShare Go project which has helped those living in our local communities and rural areas”.
