Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid-Scotland and Fife, Murdo Fraser, is urging charities, community groups, schools and colleges to apply for RBS Skills and Opportunities funding.
The fund was launched in 2015 and the bank is set to give away £1m to good causes in two rounds of funding in 2017. Applications will be open until noon on Friday the 24th of February. By the end of 2017, over 75,000 people will have been reached or helped in some way by this fund.
The focus of funding is to support organisations that help people in disadvantaged communities to develop the skills to help themselves with financial capability and enterprise.
Even if your project doesn’t make the shortlist, RBS may still be able to offer our skills and expertise to help you get your project off the ground.
Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“I would encourage social-enterprises, charities, schools, colleges and community groups across Perth and Kinross, Fife, Stirling and Clackmannanshire to look into whether they are eligible for this type of funding.
“RBS is making a significant contribution and these grants are designed to help develop skills that will improve employment opportunities and life chances.
“With funding set to close at the end of February there is only a couple of weeks to complete your application and I would encourage groups across Mid-Scotland and Fife to act fast or miss out on this great opportunity.”
