Scottish Conservative MSP, Liz Smith, has welcomed a Big Lottery Fund grant of just under £50k to the LOGOS Centre which offers support to children and young people across Crieff, Strathearn and the wider Perth and Kinross area.
This latest funding award comes as part of the Young Start grants programme, which aims to create opportunities for children and young people aged between 8 and 24.
Organisations can apply for a Young Start grant of between £10,000 and £50,000 and for up to two years funding.
Liz Smith MSP said:
“The LOGOS youth project offers youngsters in the Strathearn area a resource that helps develop their physical and emotional wellbeing and it’s great to see it supported through this grant.
“Funding of just under £50,000 helps secure this project, which helps up to 50 children and young people from the Strathearn area, for the next two years.
“Making sure children across Perth and Kinross are confident, healthy and able to realise their potential is important and it’s great to see the LOGOS project receive this backing.
“Big Lottery Funding is delivering for communities across Perth and Kinross and I would encourage charities and social enterprises in the area to investigate whether they are eligible to apply for funding.”
