STIRLING BENEFITS FROM BIG LOTTERY FUND

A parliamentary motion has been lodged in the Scottish Parliament that praises 4th/6th (Stirling) Forth Valley Scout Group, ACE Cornton, Active Stirling Limited, Beat That, Ochil Explorers Adventure Club, Port of Menteith Village Hall and Plantlife International - The Wild Plant Conservation Charity for being awarded funding by the Big Lottery Fund earlier this year.

DUNFERMLINE BENEFITS FROM BIG LOTTERY FUND

A parliamentary motion has been lodged in the Scottish Parliament that praises Charlestown, Limekilns and Pattiesmuir Community Council, Queen Anne High School, Need to Talk 2 Community Interest Company and St Leonards Primary School for being awarded funding by the Big Lottery Fund earlier this year. 

MURDO CALLS ON ACTION TO REDUCE FRAUD

The Scottish Government needs to encourage public bodies and all local authorities to take part in the Scottish Fraud Initiative and other initiatives to reduce fraud and error.

REDUCE RED TAPE ON OUR FARMERS

The Scottish Government must listen to Scottish farmers and reduce the amount of red tape and regulations being placed on the farming sector; that is the call from MSP Murdo Fraser as the Scottish Government begin their consultation 'Doing Better: The Scoping Report for the Initiative to Reduce Red Tape in Agriculture'. 

DIAGEO FIFE INVESTMENT

 Mid-Scotland & Fife Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser has welcomed news of drinks firm Diageo’s announcement of £1 billion into its whisky production in Scotland, including warehouse expansion in Fife.

FALKLANDS WAR HERO REMEMBERED

A local hero of the Falklands War will be commemorated this month on the 30th anniversary of his death. Brian Easton, from Alyth, was a cook on board HMS Glamorgan when it was hit by an Argentinian missile on the 12th of June 1982. Brian was killed along with thirteen other crew members. Thirty years on, Mid-Scotland and Fife Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser will lay a wreath at the HMS Glamorgan Memorial in the Falklands in Brian’s memory.

A9 Accident

Mid-Scotland and Fife Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser has expressed his sadness at the fatal accident involving two lorry drivers on the A9 north of Blair Atholl, closing the A9 in both directions.

FIFE’S TOP BEACHES

Mid-Scotland & Fife Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser has praised the quality of Fife’s beaches following Keep Scotland Beautiful’s announcement that 14 of Scotland’s 61 beaches to be given awards for high standards of cleanliness, safety, and water quality are in Fife.
