Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife has called on Alex Neil MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing to raise the issue of cuts to the emergency surgery unit at Perth Royal Infirmary with NHS Tayside Officials when he visits Ninewells Hospital in Dundee tomorrow (Wednesday).The Perthshire based MSP has been leading the campaign to save the emergency surgery unit at PRI. Liz Smith Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife said: “As the new Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing will be visiting Ninewells Hospital in Dundee I hope he will take the opportunity to raise the issue of the proposed cuts to the emergency surgery unit at Perth Royal Infirmary. “I would also recommend that the Cabinet Secretary make time to visit PRI and the other hospitals which serve rural communities across Perthshire and Kinross-shire to see at first hand the first class health services which these communities currently enjoy and which local people want to see retained.
