Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser has lodged a Parliamentary Motion congratulating Aberdour’s achievement in claiming double gold at the Beautiful Fife and Beautiful Scotland awards.
Aberdour bagged ‘Beautiful Fife’s’ gold medal in the Coastal Village category as well as a gold award and Best in Coastal category at the Beautiful Scotland awards.
Commenting on Aberdour’s achievement’s Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“Aberdour has revelled in their status as one of Scotland’s prettiest villages for a number of years.
“These gold’s are just the latest in a long line of honours awarded to Aberdour. In 2010 they were also awarded double gold medals from Beautiful Scotland and Beautiful Fife. Aberdour also boasts one of Scotland’s seven ‘blue flag’ beaches the highest accolade given for cleanliness and safety.
“By lodging a parliamentary motion I wanted the wider public to recognise the hard work of residents and voluntary groups in presenting Aberdour as a beautiful village to visit.
“Young and old work together in Aberdour to create one of Scotland’s most picturesque villages and these awards have helped foster local pride and community spirit.”
