Across the country, retail centres like Perth are struggling to bring people in to town. I believe that parking charges play a major role in deterring people from coming in to town and instead, folk turn to retail parks where there is free parking.
We must protect our town centres and the small and large businesses that populate them.
We are calling on Perth and Kinross Council to listen to common sense and adopt this Scottish Conservative policy, for the good of our historic retail centres.
